Tips For Growing Your MySpace Network Fast

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Here are some easy steps that you can implement to help grow you MySpace network.

1. Use Comments

If someone accepts your offer of friendship, (or you accept theirs) take the time to visit their profile and leave a thoughtful comment. The aim here is to leave a post for others to find. If they notice your comment and like what you have to say, you’ll find people will find you. Hit - Don’t just post a comment like “hey check out my website at …..” make it thoughtful and be positive. If appropriate, post an image or flashing graphic that will catch peoples attention. Always place a link back to your main website/blog/ lead capture page and even generate traffic this way.

2. Have Influential Friends

myspace-network.jpg

MySpace Networking

This one is just a matter of rubbing shoulders with the right people. Join popular profiles and network with the influential people in your niche. You will find there are plenty of other people with the time to search through friends lists and find new friends this way. This is also a good way of people getting to know you more. They think, “oh, she liked that motivational speaker too” and you instantly have something in common. Like attracts like and you will find friends requests will come from these simple actions. Choose to spend the time you dedicate to making friendship requests to network with influential personalities.

**Let other people who have similar interests come to you rather than you having to spend the time looking for them.

While you can use friend finder software to search and request friendship - I prefer to stay away from these. My MySpace profile and network took me along time to foster, so the last thing I want is to be accused of spamming and have my account deleted.

Overall, I’ve found. a less time consuming strategy is the most efficient way of growing a network while branding myself on the wider MySpace community.

Make Your Own Free Leads | www.MakeFreeLeads.com

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

Building a business on a budget need not be a challenge. While you may feel like you are starting behine the 8 ball - so to speak- I encourage you to view this hurdle as a challenge that you can only learn from and move onwards and upwards.

My business would not be what it is today without my determination to find ways of advertising for free. Many marketers will tell you that free advertising is not worth wasting your time on and in many respects, they are 100% right. But when it comes to lead generation and attraction marketing, sometimes free is just as good as paid advertising sources.

It was from my own personal experience at buidling my business on a budget, that I developed such a wide range of marketing skills. This hubpage will share with you my top 5 free lead generation tactics and how to apply them to your business.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
5 Ways To Generate Your Own Leads
My 5 favorite ways of generating free leads are;
The target market for my business lead generation and sales funnel is mainly existing online marketers and entrepreneurs.
I also further target my free lead generation tactics to reach specific groups, eg stay at home moms (like me!) that may be attracted to me and might want to learn about creating their own wealth online. This can simply be done by making specific splash pages for each audience and marketing said landing pages in relevant places.
When I want to put one of my work at home mom splash pages out, I will post it to forums/social groups that attract that type of person.
5 Tips For A Successful Home Based Business
Tuesday, July 15th, 2008
home-business.jpgIn many ways making the decision to start your home business is the easy part, but you only come that that realization when you work out how much effort and dedication is required. Why else would so many home business operators give up or go bust in their first year of operation. But it is not all bad news. There are many practical steps you can take to improve your chances of marketing success.
There are many ways to manage a home business. The tips below give some solid suggestions you can follow to earn improve your chances of earning a income from home no matter what your home business.
1. Set Goals for Success
Setting goals will help you stay focused on what you want to accomplish within your home business. Start with long-term goals for where you would like to be in the coming years and decades even. Next, create short-term goals for daily, weekly, and monthly achievements.
2. Create a Productive and Comfortable Home Business Office
Review your home business workspace. Do you work in a corner of your bedroom where it is so dark your screen lights up the room? Is your office usually the kitchen table? Do you try to work in the living area while the rest of your family enjoys conversation or entertainment? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you’ll probably need to make some changes.
Create a space that is for work only. If you don’t have a room to separate yourself from the bustle of home life, block the area off with a screen to give a sense of privacy. This can be particularly important if you work at home with young children. The separation of work and home helps to place boundaries. Ideally an office should be just an “office” and nothing else. When you arrive at your office, you’re ready for work. When you leave the office space, the workday is over.
3. Be Organized - Be Organizedhome-business-work.jpg
Once you have a defined work area for your home business, fill it with supplies and tools to make work easier and more efficient. Choose a desk and chair for comfort and never sit for extended periods. Have shelves and cabinets to help organize your space, especially if you have limited area to work with. Depending on your personal preferences, keep a daily to-do list, calendar, and schedule, prioritize and track tasks.
4. Stay on Schedule
Don’t be tempted to take time off until you have completed your tasks. Keep in mind that every moment wasted today just means more work the next day. If you don’t have a schedule of tasks and discipline yourself to do them….eventually, you’ll be working around the clock and never seem to accomplish anything. For home business success, keep a firm work routine daily. Make a decision within yourself and develop a mentality that generates results. Every hour spent working will help you make money and gain success, ONLY as long as you take consistent.
5. Separate Business from Personal
Once you set a schedule, stick to it. Don’t allow personal tasks to get in the way of work. These can be anything from cleaning the house to visits from friends or relatives to watching television. Take breaks from your computer, but try to avoid getting involved in personal tasks during your breaks. Many women confess to washing dishes, ironing clothes, vacuuming, and other personal tasks while on break from their home business. Personal tasks can cause your mind to be off-focus, and it will be difficult to return to a regular work routine afterward.
Find things to do during breaks that won’t take your mind too far away from work. Take a walk, sit and read a book related to your business. Grab a drink of water and have something to eat. Make it healthy and something will boost your concentration!
Remember that once you have a profitable online business, you can earn money doing what you love most, and spend your personal time doing whatever you want. Your home business can soar to heights never imagined if you stick with these basic ideas. The path to success in a home based business is never an easy one, but stay focused on the long term goal take massive action every single day. Never give up!
Make today count.
Building Your Sales Funnel, A Getting Started Guide Part 2
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
Welcome to part 2 in the series of building your sales funnel, a guide to getting started. For the previous post in this series please refer to the link at the end of this post.
Add Pulling Power To Your Funnel
We’ve already talked about the necessity to entice potential customers to enter your funnel using items such as e-books, reports and so on, but don’t stop there. Never overlook the ability to produce your own tele classes or tele seminars, delivered over the phone, or even Webinars, taught over the Internet. These require your direct involvement, but allow you to teach many people at once and use the presentations/calls for future training or lead generation.
These formats also allow you to make a great deal more money per hour, and they give your prospects access to you for a lower fee than hiring you one-on-one. These can also be recorded and sold as another product and another means of income.
Review Your Existing Sales Funnel
Take a few minutes right now and sketch out YOUR funnel. Take a look at the different programs that The Global Mentors Team use in our funnel. In order for any business to succeed, you need to take a long look at what you are offering your prospective customer or client. If you only have products or services at the top and bottom of the funnel, you are losing those prospects who would love to join you, but, need the time to work into the high price point opportunity. So what do you do then?
Diversify Your Sales Funnel Flow
By providing products and opportunities at various price points you will increase your chances of someone making a purchase from you now or in the future. In time as your skills grow, you can incorporate multiple opportunities at a similar price point and target market and build multiple streams of income from your original successful design.
Basic Elements Of A Profitable Sales Funnel
Ok, let’s recap what we have learnt so far about the basics of getting started building your sales funnel.
  1. Entice registrations via product giveaways, tele seminars etc..
  2. Create a capture system - a lead capture page
  3. Create a series of follow up messages - use an auto responder such as aweber
Educate and lead people to where you want them to go and in doing so you will build a list and push leads through your sales funnel all at the same time.
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008
How do I structure a basic sales funnel?
A sales funnel consists of the following elements and systems;
Entice
As much as you might like it, people are not sitting around waiting to join your opportunity or buy your product. You need entice the right person into your online sales funnel system using free offers, reports and memberships just to name a few. See below for a more ideas on what to offer people that is going to make them want to enter your sales funnel for more.
Capture System
You must build a capture system that includes a lead capture page that is specific to you and your business. This capture system should aim to collect information for you to follow up with prospects.
Follow Up
While the capture page has enabled people to opt into your auto responder or follow up system always redirect this same traffic to other websites you are using but using the thank-you page or subscription confirmation nomination that most quality auto responders give you.
Aim to provide valuable & useful information as well as educate them on your products and services. Ensure there is ongoing visibility with a emphasis on branding yourself as a leader, who is reliable and trustworthy. When people stay on your list it is because they want to know more or they value what you have to say. So email them regularly, but do not spam your opt ins with tons of messages and useless offers.
Below are a few ideas on info products that you can package in order to get you started enticing and retaining prospects:
* Books
* E-Books
* Special Reports
* Resource Guides
* Manuals
* Workbooks
* Journals
* Audio (downloads, CDs, or cassettes)
* Video (downloads, DVDs, or VHS tapes)
* Home Study Courses or Tutorials (usually a mix of different types of media)
Not only do these products allow your customer to work into the top tier products and services, but, selling these products on your website gives you passive income. Never knock the input that passive income can have to your ultimate business success.
** That’s money that is automatically flowing into your account.
** Again this gets even better, selling these products didn’t require your working X hours for Y dollars.
** These sales come in 24/7, and you don’t have to be around to make the sale.
** Use the money generated from upfront sales to invest in your business advertising/development.
** A passive income contributes to any ongoing costs, such as auto responder, hosting etc or any other costs your business incurs on a monthly basis.
What Is A Sales Funnel?
Sunday, June 1st, 2008
Picture a funnel… it’s wide and open at the top, and tiny and narrow at the bottom. If you are able to visualize a funnel the practical flow of a sales funnel works in exactly the same way.
A sales funnel is simple in it’s construction and aimed at creating sales.
You want to funnel as many prospects and sales into the funnel as you possibly can.
At the bottom of the funnel is your HIGHEST PRICED service or product. And in the middle are in-between levels of services/products and prices. The idea here is to keep people flowing down from the top to the bottom.
The First Step
Is to get people into the funnel. Offer something free, like an ezine, ebook, resource guide…anything that has perceived value. Of course, you don’t want just perceived value, you shouild make sure that there is true value. Offering something FREE is the ideal way to get tons of people into your funnel. When people sign up for these freebies, you get their names and e-mail addresses, allowing you to contact them again.
A Sales Funnel Has A Beginning And An End
At the top of your funnel should be your e-zine. And at the bottom of your funnel should be your Top Tier Direct Sales Product or Service. Using the resources that The Global Mentors Team uses, you will not only have your product/service but, you will also have the products/services in the middle. You may have joined The Global Mentors Team because you wanted to be part of the team and making money, but not everyone who joins the team joins for the Top Tier, some join and work up to those products and services.
Options Within The Sales Funnel
Allow your prospects and customers to have a way to join or purchase on the low or free end and work up into the high price point products/services.
What Will Make People Enter Your Sales Funnel?
Info-Products are a great solution when trying to decide what to offer your prospects and customers. By packaging your knowledge into info-products, you give your prospects the chance to test drive your knowledge and expertise and your product/service at a much lower price. Which fills in the middle of your funnel.
A Simple Guide To Getting Started With Attraction Marketing
Saturday, May 31st, 2008
The Internet allows users to research almost every detail of any company. This also allows business owners to sell to people all over the world. In order to be successful at attraction marketing you need to familiarize yourself with a few attraction marketing techniques.
Learn about the marketing tools that are available to you on the Internet. This will help you learn how to successfully promote your business. There are many marketing strategies that work — and there are just as many that don’t. It is vitally important for you to research each one so you don’t end up wasting your time.
Set yourself up with a blog
Regularly update it with all the interesting and valuable information about your business so that you can begin to build your audience. Customers may not purchase from you right away, but, you will have planted the seed. It will take more than visiting your website in order to make a decision. Each customer has a different level at which they begin to trust that you are a reputable business and that you are trustworthy.
Advertise, advertise, advertise. Use articles and traffic exchanges to help promote your website. The more your website is visible the more you will be looked at as an authority in your niche. The more links you have online, the more prospects you will attract to your website. You want them to come to you, and if you provide them with valuable information that they can use, your name will get out there.
Attraction Marketing is all about providing valuable information to your prospects, and remember, the more helpful and valuable your information is the greater the chance those customers will be to purchase from you now or in the future. It will take time and determination on your part, but by using the power of attraction marketing you will begin to build your own network.
Hubpages A Review || My Experience With Hubpages, So Far…..
Wednesday, May 28th, 2008
About 6 weeks ago I joined Hubpages.
I do enjoy writing article and blog posts, so when it was suggested to me by my mentor, I decided to take it on.
I gotta be honest, my motivation for joining was to market myself and my opportunity. But Hubpages is a great place to write plus earn money from affiliate streams (ebay & amazon) & adsense ads.
The site is easy to use and even if you don’t know how to design a page, the simplicity of the point and click, click and drag capsules make hubpages easy for most to get the hang of.
Join Hubpages - it’s FREE.
Hubpages A Real Community
For me, the best thing about Hubpages so far has been the community. The forum is active and supportive and you will find tons of hubpages written by other hubbers telling you how to do it & do it well.
Here is just one example of how active and switched on this community is. A couple of days ago a member posted on the forum about a new social bookmarking site like Digg.
The site was Blogtiser & it launched in March 2008. Now there is nothing particularly special about this site, it is so new it hasn’t even registered a page rank on google or alexa yet. I’m not knocking it either as it is an google ad revenue sharing participant, uses a good script yada yada - the potentials there.
With the membership base of Hubpages registering for accounts & finding each other to network with on Blogatiser, we had a Hubpages domination. Within an hour we had dominated the recently published listings & two full pages of published post were generate in about 12 hours. 4 of my 6 submitted links have been published in under 24 hours thanks to the votes and support of hubbers!
Don’t buy a book on how to use Hubpages! No matter how pretty it looks!
You will find everything you need on the Hubs written by the members themselves.
I write on hubs as “The How To Hub”.
How To Become A Leader
Thursday, May 15th, 2008
Leaders are in such a position because they have built a business or a system that makes them money. When you find yourself in this situation, you can immediately set into motion and test when you learn a skill or brainstorm your own new ideas that you can immediately benefit from in massive ways.
Most people are not in this situation because they don’t have much cash flow, or don’t have a strong business and client base they can implement with.
What Do I Need To Become A Leader?
When you don’t possess an asset (a profitable blog, a business, productive networking connections) of your own, it is difficult to test ideas and it’s ideas that make people into leaders. Without an asset you don’t have proof of concept, you might still have good ideas, but without proof of concept you can’t get on stage and show people how much money you are making or helping others make, using your ideas.
If your starting to think it sounds a bit like a catch 22 situation for the newbie online marketer, no fear, it need not be that way. There are many ways to build a business using the support, idea’s and systems of others.
To become a leader you need ideas, but these need not necessarily be your own ideas. Then you need a means to experience the result of putting ideas into action. It’s from your experience and your ability to help others by sharing that experience, that leadership is born.
What Do You Do When You’ve Just Started And You Are Not An Authority On Anything?
I read some great advice on a blog that I love that I want to pass on to you. It solves the problem of what to do if you don’t feel you know enough yet to present yourself as an authority in your industry. When you can not be the authority, you become a reporter and student. In reality, most authorities are reporters and students as well.
If you are a reporter/student, you study the ideas of other people - the authorities - and digest their ideas, add you own individual style and implement them. As you implement idea’s and strategies you learn and gain experience, you then take your results and convert them into new ideas or present the expert’s ideas using your own voice. By relaying your own experience other people learn from you and you begin to build your own authority. It is through education, then action, filtering a little repackaging, that most authorities master their craft. Even the experts had to start somewhere and build their business. It is no different for anyone who starts an online home based business.
Why Continuous Education is Essential to Online Business Success
Wednesday, May 14th, 2008
Top Internet Marketers Are Leaders
If you look at any of the top internet marketers, you will notice a couple of strong similarities. The most significant is that they’ve usually spent a long time working in and experiencing the things they write about. As a result they can market with the authority that only comes from experience.
On top of personal experience, many marketing leaders plug into the industry they represent. They read blogs, following industry leaders and buying, magazines and books etc. It’s pretty safe to say, they realize the necessity to stay up to date with news and current events. By keeping a finger on the pulse of the market they master, this means they won’t get left behind or overtaken!
So while positioning yourself as an authority in your niche is important, staying at the top of one’s game is just as essential. This is especially important if you want to be a consultant or establish authority in your chosen field. This authority is recognisable and attractive to potential prospects.
Good Ideas Are Not Enough
You’ve probably noticed repetition and rehashed content on the web. These days there are hundreds of sites that basically do the same as the next. Why is that you ask? It’s simple, a good idea just isn’t enough anymore. Creativity and originality is something that stands out from the crowd.
It’s similar in the business world. Good ideas are everywhere, but if you don’t have some form of leadership or perceived leadership in your market, you can’t break away from all the other people trying to do the same thing you are.
Standing Our From The Crowd
Make yourself seen and be seen regularly. Many people venture into the world of online marketing each and every day & less than 5% of them stick at it. Let people know how long you have been around, and that you are not going anywhere. By displaying longevity in your business and depth in your knowledge, helps to brand yourself as an industry leader.
Leaders
Is it true that the rich just keep getting richer? Perhaps, but the methodology is clear and it’s when your break it down, it’s just good business sense. They understand the need to be a leader as on online marketer and are prepared take the actions and educate themselves in order to establish authority in their field.
Marketing Education Never Stops
Leadership can be a fragile thing. In dynamic markets changes are happening every day. In order to stay on top of the game (or even get there in the first place) you must have the confidence that comes with the badge of ‘Leader’ without being arrogant and closed minded. You must study what’s going on, what other people are doing and how they are doing it. When you find something applicable to your situation you implement it and see what happens.
